What is a Pajama Angel?

An Angel is a divine being that acts as  a messenger of a higher spirit.

A Pajama Angel is an everyday being hoping to make a difference for others with cancer or chronic diseases through integrative health initiatives on earth ~sometimes seen in  pajamas!

Pajama Angels had its early beginnings in 2002 but we officially established in 2007.  We became an incorporated Not-For Profit on February 17, 2012 as Pajama Angels United We Cure with 5 board of directors. We are just finalizing our by-laws and will post more info on this later in the year.

We were lead to the cause through tragic circumstances but instinctively made the ‘hope’ for a cure for breast cancer our flight plan.  Our sister Mags lost her fight to complications of the disease and our mom,  is a breast cancer victor since 1994.  Our Aunt (our mom’s  sister) is also a breast cancer victor since Feb 2012!

We are committed to raising funds for our local community in the hope that an integrative approach to cancers and illnesses is common practice.

Although our ribbon colour started as pink, we now embrace all ribbon colours and chronic diseases, with a hope to cure through integrative health initiatives.  We believe that the we are more than the sum of our parts and that everything is interconnected through the Body, Mind & Spirit.

We have spent many late nights and very early mornings, still in pajamas, creating and preparing for events, staying on our mission/flight plan.  This truth combined with our sister Maggie’s fascination with angels and the historical mission angels portray, Pajama Angels emerged as the most appropriate name for our organization.

Our new goal for 2012 is to receive our Charitable Status~ please be patient as embrace some of the needed red tape to achieve this.
